Request for Member Feedback
The Subcommittee responsible for the revision of the CADS Ski Manual has reached an important stage in the revision process, and we are now inviting CADS members to help us with an initial review of the revised Manual.
Your experience matters. The Manual is intended to be a practical resource for CADS instructors and volunteers across Canada, and we want to ensure that it reflects the knowledge, experience, and needs of the CADS community.
We are looking for members who are willing to review the revised Manual and provide constructive feedback in the following areas:
Content – Is the information clear, accurate, relevant, and complete?
Layout – Is the Manual organized in a logical and easy-to-navigate format?
Style – Is the language, terminology, and overall presentation appropriate and consistent?
Usability – Will the revised Manual be a practical and useful resource for CADS instructors and volunteers?
Help Us Make the Manual Better
As part of the revision process, the Subcommittee has worked to remove information that was repetitive or duplicated in the current Manual. Our goal is to create a resource that is clear, concise, practical, and useful, while still providing the information necessary to support quality adaptive ski instruction.
At this stage, we are particularly interested in hearing from members who can bring first-hand experience or discipline-specific knowledge to the review.
If you have experience in any of the following areas, we would especially encourage you to come forward:
Visually Impaired (VI) skiing
3-Track skiing
4-Track skiing
Sitski
The section addressing Neurodiversity (ASD / CI) is still being finalized and will be available for review at a later stage.
Every Perspective Can Make a Difference
You do not need to be an expert in every aspect of adaptive skiing to participate. A fresh set of eyes, practical experience from the hill, or experience working with a particular student population can identify things that may otherwise be overlooked.
This is an opportunity for CADS members to help shape a Manual that will support instructors and volunteers for years to come.
Your feedback can help us identify information that needs clarification, areas that may be missing, terminology that could be improved, or sections that could be made more practical and accessible.
We encourage members to step forward, share their experience, and help us make the revised CADS Ski Manual the best resource it can be for our instructors, volunteers, and participants.
If you are interested in participating in the review, please let us know. We would welcome your involvement and appreciate the time and expertise you can contribute.
Language Availability
At this time, the revised Manual is available for review in English only. A French version is not currently available for distribution. We recognize the importance of making the Manual accessible to our French-speaking members and appreciate your understanding as the revision process continues.
The Subcommittee would like to receive expressions of interest by November 9th, 2026, at info@cads.ski.
